Burton lovers rejoice! Even though Beetlejuice director Tim Burton has been talking about making a sequel for the past year, nothing seemed to be definite until Winona Ryder confirmed that Beetlejuice 2 is actually happening on a recent episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers.
“I think I can confirm it,” Ryder said. And those words will ring in our ears for years to come. That is until we see the movie in theaters on opening night! Watch the interview below:
The original, 1988 dark comedy Beetlejuice starred Ryder as Goth teenager Lydia, who moves into a haunted house and meets Betelgeuse, a hilarious and crass poltergeist played by Michael Keaton.
