Upcoming Thriller Produced by JJ Abrams Picks Up Where "Cloverfield" Left Off

We couldn't be more excited about this!!!

A couple weeks ago, the trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane was released, and it already has fans of the 2008 prequel buzzing. At least, we think it's the prequel. The truth is, it's hard to tell where the upcoming flick starring John Goodman fits into the Cloverfield canon.

Produced by Star Wars director JJ Abrams, we can already tell 10 Cloverfield Lane will be very different from its predecessor (thank God they ditched the shakey cam!), and we can only hope that it answers some of the questions that the first film left us asking. So far, the only provided synopsis is vague:

"Waking up from a car accident, a young woman finds herself in the basement of a man who says he's saved her life from a chemical attack that has left the outside uninhabitable." -IMDB

Watch the trailer below:

Mysterious? Yes... Exciting? Unbearably! And we love the uber creepy re-appropriation of Tommy James & The Shondell's hit "I Think We're Alone Now." This is one we definitely won't be missing.

What do you think? Will you be seeing 10 Cloverfield Lane in theaters? Let us know in the comment section below!
