The Trailers for These Upcoming Horror Movies Got Us So Excited!! Watch Them Here

There seem to be endless amounts of movie trailers uploaded to YouTube each day, so we decided to compile some of the best trailers for upcoming horror movies that are actually worth getting excited about. Check them out below!

1. The Snowman 

If the cast list of the upcoming murder mystery thriller The Snowman doesn't pique your interest, we don't know what will! Starring Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Val Kilmer, Chloë Sevigny, J.K. Simmons, and Charlotte Gainsbourg, The Snowman tells the story of a sadistic killer with a chilly M.O. Based off of Jo Nesbø's best-selling novel by the same name, this anticipated thrillers promises lots of spooks and suspense.

Release date: October 20th.

2. Jigsaw

Well, I guess Saw 3D: The Final Chapter was a bit of a misnomer, considering our swirly-cheeked friend is returning to screens yet again this October! While we're expecting that this latest addition to the franchise will maintain the same general outline of the previous films, word is that Jigsaw will include more campy, humorous moments to go along with the standard gore-fest. It's wise for films like this not to take themselves too seriously. 

Release date: October 27th.

3. Death Note

Based off the anime series and manga of the same name, Netflix's Death Note will star Willem Defoe as the voice of the sinister supernatural being Ryuk. When a brainy young student makes contact with Ryuk through a mystical notebook, he is able to end the life of any person simply by writing their name in the book. How will he use this newfound power? 

Release date: August 25th.

4. Happy Death Day

A sorority girl must relive her day over and over again until she figures out who is trying to kill her, and why. Think Edge of Tomorrow meets Scream.

Release date: October 13th.

5. Flatliners

Starring Ellen Page, Nina Dobrev, James Norton, Diego Luna, and Kiefer Sutherland, Flatliners is a sci-fi thriller that follows a group of medical students who begin experimenting with near death experiences by stopping their hearts for short periods of time. Little do they know that crossing over involves some very dark consequences.

Release date: September 29th.

6. Leatherface

Ever wondered what happened before the Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Leatherface, the prequel to the 1974 horror classic, follows 3 young, mental hospital escapees who kidnap a nurse and run from a deranged lawman who's out for revenge. One of these teens experiences more horror and darkness than his fragile mind can handle, and voila! Leatherface is born. Cheery stuff, no?  

Release date: October 20th.
