At the Meadowlands in Secaucus, NJ you will find the "Rise of the Jack-o-Lanterns" exhibit. Here you will find over 5,000 pumpkins carved and displayed in creative ways along a scenic walking path. As you walk amongst the thousands of glowing pumpkins, spooky music helps to set a thoroughly creepy ambiance.
If you feel like going farther afield, then you should definitely make your way to Croton-on-Hudson, NY where you're in for a treat: "The Great Jack-o-Lantern Blaze." Here you can wander through historic, 18th century riverside landscapes as you view the incredible Jack-o-Lantern displays. You can walk over the Pumpkin-Zee Bridge, marvel at Dinosaurs made out of pumpkins, and more!
On Saturday, October 22, you can go to the Arboretum in Flagstaff, AZ to walk along their gorgeous nature trails and enjoy thousand of carved pumpkins. You can even enter your own carved pumpkins into a contest and see how your skills stack up!
If you're anywhere near Ceredo and Kenova, WV on October 28 and 29, then you have to make your way to see the famous "Pumpkin House." What started with only 5 carved pumpkins in 1978 has grown into a popular, annual destination where 30,000 visitors come to see the victorian- style house decked out with over 3,000 hand carved pumpkins. Definitely not to be missed!
If you're near Providence from October 6 - November 6, you can head over to the Roger Williams Park Zoo to get a look at a world of 5,000 carved pumpkins while walking along their "Wetlands Trail". Some carvings are truly works of art.
The pumpkin festival in Laconia, NH began over 26 years ago with only 600 pumpkins, and today it advertises itself as "1 day, 20,000+ pumpkins, and a lot of fun." On October 22 this year, if you're in the area, join in on the pumpkin carving competition where over 20,000 people compete for the title of "Best Jack-o-Lantern"! All the pumpkins are displayed on a 34 foot high "pumpkin tower." This year, the NH Pumpkin Festival has officially submitted application for the Guinness World Record for Most Lit Jack-o-Lanterns Displayed in 2016! So don't miss out on this record-breaking event!
If you're in the Kentucky area, then this Jack-o-Lantern spectacular is the event for you. Like many of the other festivals, it boasts over 5000+ carved pumpkins along a 1/4 mile trail. The trail is open from October 13 through November 6, and it's open until 11 pm on weekdays or midnight on weekends.
