The Cast of American Horror Story Season 6 Has Been Confirmed! Will You Tune In?

While we're still anxiously awaiting the theme announcement for the upcoming season of American Horror Story, we have been given a few nods and winks. We now know that the official premier date will be Wednesday, September 14th at 10 pm EST. That, and a recently revealed (and very creepy) video clue suggests that the upcoming season may have something to do with demented babies and/or children. We still feel totally in the dark, but...Hooray!

Certain actors have already confirmed their involvement, and we expect more previous cast members will go public in the coming weeks. Here are the actors we know for sure will be gracing our screen in September:

Angela Bassett

From the moment Angela first showed up on season 3's Coven, she has been absolutely, incomprehensibly FIERCE. She is a highlight in every season, especially when she plays the independent, badass woman in the horror team. This time around, she may be playing someone with psychic powers!

Evan Peters

We don't know what AHS would be without the loyal reincarnation of the dashing Evan Peters. He's been in every season thus far, and has, in our opinion, inhabited some of the most interesting characters in the franchise to date. Evan confirmed his involvement in the upcoming season during an interview for his recent film X-Men: Apocalypse.

Matt Bomer

Although Bomer only appeared briefly in season 4 (Freak Show), the handsome devil occupied much more screen time in Hotel. Bomer confirmed his return in an interview with Magic Radio, and we can't wait to see what he brings to the new season.

Denis O'Hare

O'Hare has been in pretty much every season of the show except Asylum, and won our hearts when made the ballsy move (pun intended) of playing the sassy, gender-ambiguous Liz Taylor. O'Hare accidentally confirmed his involvement in season 6 in an interview earlier this year. Whoops!

Cheyenne Jackson

Jackson made his very first appearance on the show during last season's Hotel. Now, as he divulged to Out Magazine, he'll be returning to the freaky screen for season six. Welcome back!

Leslie Jordan

Leslie Jordan had a brief yet memorable stint in Coven as a sassy and lovable member of the witch's high council. Jordan spilled the beans in an interview with Washington Blade, and we couldn't be happier that he's finally returning to the show!

Lady Gaga

Many thought Gaga's AHS premier was the best thing about last season, and we'd have to agree. Even critics recognized her haunting portrayal of the Countess and awarded her with a Golden Globe this year. To the delight of many, Gaga confirmed her return to the cast during an interview with Z100 back in March.

With many actors "in the wings", we're still waiting for the confirmation of big players like Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Wes Bentley, and Emma Roberts.

How do you feel about the casting? Were you "over it" as soon as Jessica Lange left, as many others were? Let us know in the comment section below.
