Based on the Bhutanese idea that the key to happiness is in the contemplation of death five times a day, the WeCroak app sends you a gentle reminder they you're going to die at random times during the day. Opening the notification gives you a quote from a great thinker on mortality.
This app is not for everyone. It can be anxiety inducing, and quite a few people would rather not spend their time thinking abut mortality. I love the app and can't recommend it highly enough. Below I've added a few favorite quotes that were delivered to me recently.
