The kids are starting to grow up, but that doesn’t mean the danger has lessened.
Fans of Stranger Things have been waiting for the next chapter of their 1980s terror tale. We’ve been teased with little hints over the last few months, but we’ve now got a new trailer. The teens have summer jobs, the younger kids are growing up, Joyce Byers has a cool new haircut, a scary new assassin is slinking through the shadows, and the creatures from the Upside Down are even more deadly.
The full cast of kids — Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven, Finn Wolfhard’s Mike, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, and Sadie Sink as Max — returns, with Lucas’ younger sister Erica snagging a full supporting cast role. Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery round out the teenage cast, with Maya Hawke (daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke) joining as “alternative girl” Robin. And Winona Ryder and David Harbour reprise their roles as Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper, respectively.
